I regret to say that I missed one of the prime moto history stops in the state. For NO EXTRA CREDIT, but just for fun, you are invited to add Target 83, the Teapot Dome Service Station.
Full details can be found here: http://en.wikipedia....Service_Station and here: http://ludb.clui.org/ex/i/WA3292/.

Update, October 17, 2009
By this time you should have pretty much completed your club ride efforts. I will be at the November and December WSBMWR meetings to collect submittals, or you can mail them to me by December 7. Prizes and certificates will be distributed at the January meeting.
For my part, I did not make it to all of the targets, but I did get to all of the ones that I hadn't seen before, except for Fort Spokane. I was going to catch that one during the Republic rally but ended up floating a whitewater river, which was probably even more fun than seeing Fort Spokane. The best adventure I had was the GS route on Naches Pass, which was about the most challenging bit of off-pavement riding I've done, but along the way this summer I discovered lots of beautiful country and learned a lot about the pioneer history of our state. That brings us to the...
Club Ride 2010
We still don't have a coordinator for next year's club ride. Have any ideas? Then volunteer! No ideas? Volunteer anyway! There are lots of good possibilities and I'll be glad to help out with the details, like how to modify this web page, when to send stuff in to the Shaft, who to coordinate with. It's a great way to meet folks in the club and best of all, it's all about the ride. Email me, earlecj@gmail.com This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
